Abstract: (Romanian Spirituality between tradition and modernity). Situated at the gates of the Orient – of this Orient that, first with Asia Minor, then with Greece, with Jerusalem and again with Asia Minor (Syria), with Alexandria and finally with Byzantium, has offered cultural themes of real importance to the western spirituality –, Romania wasn’t less generous, giving the same West significant ideational references. Thus, in an age when the idea that the Romanian ethos is missing the sight of modernity is circulated, we appreciate that a diachronic and synchronic approach on the value and peculiarities of Romanian spirituality is appropriate and welcomed”.
