Dacia și Imperiul în criză
Abstract: (Dacia and the Empire in crisis) Like any society of global dimensions, the Roman Empire is permanently marked by crises of functioning, which, depending on the response of the organized society, can manifest as crises of growth or vice versa. In the case of the Dacian periphery, only partially incorporated into the institutional and functional structures of the Empire, these crises are felt more acutely or more dimly, depending on the regional context and local manifestations of will. General crises, such as the one at the transition between the Nerva-Antoninian and Severan dynasties, also create windows of opportunity for local societies such as that of Dacia.

Rezumat: Ca orice societate de dimensiuni globale, Imperiul Roman este permanent marcat de crize de funcționare, care, în funcție de răspunsul societății organizate, se pot manifesta ca crize de creștere sau dimpotrivă. În cazul periferiei dacice, doar parțial încorporată în structurile instituționale și funcționale ale Imperiului, aceste crize se resimt mai acut sau mai estompat, în funcție de contextul regional și de manifestările locale de voință. Crizele generale, așa cum este și cea de la trecerea dintre dinastia Nerva-Antoniniană și cea a Severilor, creează totodată ferestre de oportunitate pentru societăți locale precum cea a Daciei.
