Noroc ! – Bonne chance! expressions de la pensée et visions sur le monde
Abstract: In our paper we will deal with the propositional act noroc (good luck) by studying its illocutionary values. At the same time, we are interested in the syntagmatic representations that can be taken into account by each of the values of the word noroc. The research and analysis of the French propositional and illocutionary correspondents of this term will give our study a contrastive dimension which will allow us to draw some conclusions about the way of thinking, conceiving “the world of what it is / le monde de ce qui est” and of verbally interacting within the Romanian and French space of Romance cultures. As a matter of fact, in our approach we are going to give a brief history of the terms noroc / chance (luck), the morpho-syntactical description of the lexeme noroc and its derivatives, and respectively of the syntagmatic representations in which it appears, and then we shall thoroughly approach the illocutionary values of noroc and its French correspondents. Our analytical endeavour will show that the terms and phrases under discussion express fundamental values of the human referential universe: noroc / bonne chance refers to life, love, health, destiny, happiness, etc. The formulas are open, polyvalent, capable of objectifying into speech acts expressing wish or into ritual acts. Beyond these similarities between of the two languages, we can notice a large variety of representations of the propositional content under discussion, which stand proof to some visions of the world and universes of beliefs, expressions of two distinct geographical and socio-cultural spaces.

Résumé: Dans notre communication nous nous arrêterons sur l’acte propositionnel noroc, en étudiant ses valeurs illocutionnaires. En même temps nous nous intéresserons aux représentations syntagmatiques que peut revêtir chacune des valeurs du lexème noroc. La quête et l’analyse des correspondants propositionnels et illocutionnaires français de ce terme donneront à notre étude une dimension contrastive qui nous permettra de tirer quelques conclusions sur la manière de penser, de concevoir « le monde de ce qui est » et d’interagir verbalement dans l’espace roumain et français de la romanité. Concrètement, notre démarche vise un aperçu historique des termes noroc / chance, la description morphsyntaxique du lexème noroc et de ses dérivés, respectivement de ses représentations syntagmatiques, pour nous arrêter longuement sur les valeurs illocutionnaires de noroc et de ses correspondants français. Le parcours analytique démontrera que les termes et les expressions pris en considération ont comme contenu des valeurs fondamentales de l’univers référentiel de l’homme : noroc – bonne chance concernent la vie, l’amour, la santé, la fortune, le destin, le bonheur, etc. Les formules sont ouvertes, polyvalentes, à même de s’objectiver en actes de langage de souhait ou en actes rituels. Au-delà de ces points communs entre les deux langues, on constate une grande diversité quant aux contenus propositionnels, témoignant de visions du monde et d’univers de croyance différents, expression de deux espaces géographiques et socio-culturels distincts.
