La enseñanza del ELE en Rumanía: el lugar que ocupa el español entre las lenguas extranjeras y los materiales con los que se trabaja
Abstract: (Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language in Romania: its place among the foreign languages and the materials used in the teaching process) Teaching Spanish in Romania has been a challenge for Romanian teachers, as Romania was considered until recently a francophone country. However, English has gradually begun to take over, while languages such as Spanish and Italian have made progress, as well. Therefore, we are particularly interested in describing the evolution of teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language in Romania over recent years, and its place in the teaching of foreign languages. Moreover, if we refer to the available materials for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, we can mention that the market lacks ELE materials directed exclusively to the Romanian market. Usually, the textbooks used, are the ones published in Spain, such as: ABANICO, PRISMA, ECO, SUEÑA, EL VENTILADOR, AVANCE, CUMBRE.

Resumen: La enseñanza de español en Rumanía ha representado un reto para los profesores rumanos ya que hasta hace pocos años Rumanía se consideraba un país francófono. Poco a poco, sin embargo, el inglés ha empezado a predominar e idiomas como el español y el italiano han ido ganando terreno. Nos interesa especialmente tratar en este trabajo la evolución de la enseñanza de ELE en Rumanía a lo largo de los últimos años y el lugar que ocupa el español en la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras. Además, si hablamos de los materiales disponibles para la enseñanza de ELE, podemos mencionar que el mercado carece de material dirigido exclusivamente al mercado rumano. Normalmente se utilizan manuales editados en España como los siguientes: ABANICO, PRISMA, ECO, SUEÑA, EL VENTILADOR, AVANCE, CUMBRE.
