Etnogeneza românilor în mediul istoriografic german contemporan
Abstract: (The Romanian Ethnogenesis in Contemporary German Historiography) The issue regarding the ethnogenesis of the Romanians was often and continue to be treated in a different and totally controversial way in the Romanian and Hungarian historiography. Even if certain details of this issue may differ within the historians belonging to the same ethnic group, the national aspect of dealing with this topic is for decades or even centuries quite obvious. But how did those who apparently were not involved in the Romanian-Hungarian historiographical disputes, the Germans, approach the issue? How deal the German Romanists or historians for Middle Age with this aspect of Romanian history nowadays? Which impact can have their point of view on the interpretations and representation of the Romanian ethnogenesis in German speaking countries?

Rezumat: Chestiunea etnogenezei românilor a fost şi continuă să fie subiectul principal tratat diferit şi în baza a două teorii diametral opuse în istoriografia română şi în cea maghiară. Chiar dacă unele detalii ale acestei chestiuni pot fi diferite în cadrul istoricilor de aceeaşi apartenenţă etnică, totuşi caracterul naţional al abordării acestui subiect de-a lungul timpul a devenit evident. Dar cum s-au raportat cei aparent neimplicaţi în disputele istoriografice româno- maghiare în privinţa etnogenezei românilor, şi anume germanii? Cum tratează romaniştii germani şi istoricii germani medievişti din zilele noastre această problemă? Ce influenţă are punctul lor de vedere asupra difuzării în spaţiul german a informaţiilor, interpretărilor despre locul şi spaţiu de formare al poporului român?
