Trimiterile discursului juridic ciceronian. Studiu de caz: Pro Archia poeta
Abstract: (References of the Ciceronian Legal Discourse. Case Study: Pro Archia Poeta) Far from being closed into their sphere of legal texts, with different themes, the speeches of Cicero give us a comprehensive perspective on the Roman realities and, of course, the personality of the writer. One of them, chosen for my demonstration, Pro Archia poeta, is a genuine center of the Ciceronian thinking. Spoken in defense of client Archias in the acquisition of Roman citizenship, this unifies and converges on the various levels of meanings, but ordered around a nodal concept, homo novus Romanus. The characteristic pathos and spiritual anguish of the speaker inspires it and makes it unmistakable from a stylistic point of view. This paper investigates text references beyond proper legal side of both pleadings from the Forum, and found in nuce the haunting ideas of the magistrate and philosopher. However, there are revealed elements that revive a frozen perspective and, to some extent, a false one on Romanism.

Rezumat: Departe de a fi texte închise sferei lor juridice, cu o tematică diversă, discursurile lui Cicero ne oferă o perspectivă foarte complexă asupra realităţilor romane şi, desigur, a personalităţii scriitorului. Unul dintre acestea, ales pentru demonstraţia mea, Pro Archia poeta, se constituie în veritabil centru de gândire ciceroniană, închegat unitar şi convergent din niveluri de semnificaţii variate, ordonate însă în jurul unui concept nodal, homo novus Romanus. Patosul şi neliniştea spirituală caracteristice oratorului îl însufleţeşte şi îi conferă inconfundabile însemne stilistice. Lucrarea cercetează trimiterile textului, dincolo de latura propriu-zis juridică, şi descoperă in nuce idei obsedante ale magistratului şi filozofului roman. Totodată, sunt relevate elemente menite să revitalizeze o perspectivă încremenită şi, într-o oarecare măsură, falsă asupra romanităţii.
