La longue histoire de la présence italienne à Besançon et son influence sur la ville
Abstract: (The Long History of the Italian Presence in Besançon and Its Influence on the City) This article aims at studying, through the history of Italians in Besançon (France), how cultural interferences and contrasts between the two groups have influenced the city. Since the Roman conquest and up to today, immigrants coming from the Peninsula have been the main vectors of these exchanges by forging links between the two sides of the Alps.

Résumé: L’objectif de cet article est de montrer, à travers un panorama de l’histoire de la présence italienne à Besançon (France), comment les interférences et les contrastes culturels qui en sont nés ont façonné la ville. Dès la conquête romaine et jusqu’à aujourd’hui, les immigrants venus de la Péninsule ont été les principaux vecteurs de ces échanges en tissant de multiples liens des deux côtés des Alpes.
