Aspecte din istoricul activităţii Partidului Naţional-Popular în Banat în anul 1947
Abstract: (Aspects of the historical of the activity of the National Popular Party in the Banat county in the year 1947) Thus, since the year of its establishment, P.N.P. was marginalized on national and local level. Compared with the previous year, 1947, brought a party activity increase inside Banat counties. Even though they took no part in the governation, and held no high officials in the area, deputies in the Parliament or prefects. In the same year, the local department of the party was established, with secondary national popular organizations from: Arad, Caraş, Severin and Timiş-Torontal. But, within the department, only the organizations from Severin and Timiş-Torontal counties developed an intense activity, their members paying monthly membership fees. The activity of the Caraş county was weeker, and those from Arad sometimes questioned the existence of the department. The activity of the national populars was sustained inside the B.P.D., declairing that they were in favor of the Template Programme of the party, even though many of them were left outside the union, loosing even the function of Timiş-Torontal prefect in favour of the Ploughmen Front.

Rezumat: Deci, încă din anul constituirii sale, P.N.P.-ul începea să fie marginalizat la nivel de ţară, inclusiv în judeţele din sud-vestul României. În anul 1947, activitatea Partidului în judeţele din Regionala Banat s-a desfăşurat cu mai multă intensitate decât în anul precedent. Aceasta chiar în condiţiile în care nu mai participa la guvernare, rămânând fără niciun demnitar în zonă, deputaţi în Parlament sau prefecţi. A fost constituită, în acest an, Regionala Banat a Partidului, din care făceau parte organizaţiile naţional-populare: Arad, Caraş, Severin şi Timiş-Torontal. Dar, în cadrul Regionalei, doar organizaţiile din judeţele Severin şi Timiş-Torontal desfăşurau o activitate mai intensă, membrii lor plătind şi cotizaţiile lunare. Judeţul Caraş avea o activitate mai slabă, iar arădenii puneau chiar la îndoială necesitatea existenţei Regionalei. Totuşi, naţional-popularii duceau o activitate destul de susţinută în cadrul B.P.D.-ului, declarând că ei susţineau – în continuare – Platforma-Program a acestuia, chiar dacă erau tot mai mult marginalizaţi în cadrul Blocului, pierzând şi postul de prefect al judeţului Timiş-Torontal în favoarea Frontului Plugarilor.
