Expresivitatea formulelor de adresare între tineri în spaţiul virtual
Abstract: After its initial consideration by linguists immediately after 1990, Romanian youth language has gained new dimensions because of the new way of writing used in electronic correspondence (e-mail, chat room, SMS), becoming more similar to spoken language. The features of this e-style can be seen in the way the writing is organized and are directly related to the technology that the young generation is using. Evidently, the use of computers is influencing the structure of the messages transmitted because of its demand that they be faster, more flexible and more similar to spoken language, a situation which creates unusual forms of interference between the written and the oral, between standard language and informal register. The message which the youth is involuntarily transmitting is that language is not only used to produce grammatically correct sentences, but especially to express emotions, feelings, moods.

Rezumat: După ce s-a impus atenţiei lingviştilor, imediat după 1990, datorită noului tip de scriitura folosit în corespondenţa electronică (e-mail, chatroom, sms), limbajul tinerilor români a căpătat noi dimensiuni, apropiindu-se tot mai mult de limba vorbită. Trăsăturile caracteristice ale acestui e-style se regăsesc în felul în care scrisul este organizat şi sunt direct legate de tehnologia de ultimă generaţie pe care tinerii o folosesc. Folosirea computerului influenţează în mod evident structura mesajelor transmise în scopul de a le face mai rapide, mai flexibile, foarte aproape de limba vorbită, situaţie care creează formule insolite de interferenţă între scris şi oralitate, între limbajul standard şi registrul familiar. Mesajul pe care involuntar ni-l transmit tinerii este că limbajul foloseşte pentru a exprima emoţii, sentimente, stări sufleteşti.
