Aspecte ale polisemiei şi sinonimiei lexicale în terminologia medicală
Abstract: (Aspects of lexical polysemy and synonymy in medical terminology) The aim of this paper is to make a projection of the Romanian medical terminological system on the overall plane of language vocabulary and determine the interferences that occur within “interstylistic” projections, namely, within the relations between medical terms belonging to specialized languages and popular medical terms compared to their lexical correlatives from other stylistic registers (pharmaceutical, dentistry language, etc.). A special attention is given to lexical polysemy and synonymy, semasiological categories less analysed within medical terminology. In terms of its context updating, synonymy has some functional features, especially where it concerns speakers who do not have the same degree of perception related to medical terminology. Synonyms and synonym doublets within medical language do not raise any problems regarding the perception of these lexical and semantic categories to specialists in the field or to speakers who are equally competent in medical terminology, synonymy being in this case bilateral at context level.

Rezumat: Scopul lucrării este de a realiza o proiectare a sistemului terminologic medical românesc în planul general al vocabularului limbii şi să stabilim interferenţele care se manifestă în sfera proiecţiilor „interstilistice”, cu alte cuvinte, în cel al raporturilor dintre termenii medicali din limbajele de specialitate şi termenii medicali populari comparativ cu corelativele lor lexicale din alte registre stilistice (limbaj farmaceutic, stomatologic etc.). O atenţie aparte o alocăm polisemiei şi sinonimiei lexicale, categorii semasiologice mai puţin analizate în cadrul terminologiei medicale. Sinonimia sub aspectul actualizării ei contextuale are anumite particularităţi funcţionale, mai ales în cazul în care ea vizează vorbitori care nu stăpânesc acelaşi grad de percepere a terminologiei medicale. Sinonimele sau dubletele sinonimice din cadrul limbajului medical nu ridică niciun fel de probleme, în ceea ce priveşte percepţia acestor categorii lexico-semantice, specialiştilor din domeniu sau vorbitorilor care au în egală măsură competenţe de terminologie medicală, sinonimia fiind în acest caz bilaterală la nivel contextual.
